Face threading

Fine hair, taken in short, even passes

Upper lip, chin, sideburns, cheeks and forehead, each done with a loop of cotton thread. You can have one area or several in the same visit.

It suits

  • A quick upper lip on a lunch break

  • Several areas in one sitting

  • A full face before an event

What happens, area by area

  1. 01

    Step 1: Choose the areas

Tell your threader which areas you'd like, and in what order. Add or drop one at any point.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Thread each area

A loop of cotton rolls over the skin in small sections, with a pause between areas if you want one.

  3. 03

Step 3: Check in the mirror

Before the last pass on each area we hold up a mirror.

  4. 04

Step 4: Cool cloth and a few notes

A cool cloth on the skin, then what to skip for the rest of the day.

Good to know

  • Before you come

Come with clean skin, and no creams or makeup on the area. Skip retinol and scrubs there for a few days beforehand.

  • How often

Hair grows back, and many clients come back every three to four weeks.

  • Aftercare

Skin can look pink for a while. Skip makeup, hot showers and the sun on the area for the rest of the day.

  • Who does it

Bhavna, Megha, Jagruti or Navya. Each is a licensed esthetician.

  • If you're late

Tell us. We take you as soon as a chair opens, and a late visit may be a little shorter.

  • If skin reacts

Reactions can happen. If you notice burning, swelling or hives, tell us and call your doctor.

Two quick questions

Which areas do you thread?

Brows, upper lip, chin, sideburns, cheeks and forehead. If you want an area that isn't on the menu, ask us and we'll say whether we do it.

Can I have more than one area?

Yes. Most clients do. A full face is easier with a booking, because it takes thirty to forty minutes.

Ready for a full face, or just a lip?

Walk in, or choose a time. There is no deposit either way.
